PERSONALITY
More reserved than either of his siblings, Mason has a single group of friends that he hangs out with and isn't one that likes to stray too far out of his comfort zone. He's not uncomfortable in social situations, but they aren't his favorite thing ever, especially when he doesn't know the majority of the people involved. Traveling and seeing new things is fine, but not his favorite way to spned time either. To be honest, he likes being around his home town and is very comfortable with his life. While each of his siblings are slightly more ambitious with their plans for the future, he knows that someday he'll probably live in the same city or maybe in a neighboring town, but he's unlikely to stray too far from home or try anything too risky for a career choice.
With average levels of intelligence he does alright in school, but definitely isn't singled out for it. Sometimes he has to work hard for his grades, sometimes he doesn't and he doesn't think too much of it either way. A natural born artist, he's always sketching or doodling something and art classes are the highlight of his school days. While he knows his work is decent, he's not one to show it off or seek praise. Drawing isn't something that he does for other people, it's something that he does for himself and for that reason alone he'd never consider making a career out of it because he knows the second it'd be done on demand it'd start being work and stop being his way of expression.
Dating isn't even something that Mason has started doing yet. He's had crushes and definitely is attracted to different girls, but all in all, he just hasn't approached any to go on a date and hasn't been approached either. He figures that maybe if he gets up the nerve this year, he'll ask the girl he likes to the end of the year dance.
LIKES AND DISLIKES
Mason's favorite color is olive green, and he's not a fan of periwinkle. He loves spring, and could do without fall. He's a cat person, and he hates monkeys. He could eat cheese fritters any day of the week, and he craves elephant ears most often, but he hardly ever eats spinach, and dislikes baked alaska. He's not a tea drinker, he much prefers soda. He loves to draw and play video games, but dislikes public speaking. His best subject in school is Art, and his worst is History.
APPEARANCE
Just into his teenage years, it's not a wonder that Mason is still growing and coming into his looks, but it's already apparent that he's a good looking guy. He's got light brown hair and light blue eyes, and though his lips are a bit thin he's got a straight white smile that he flashes people readily. Right now he stands at 5'6", but still is likely to grow a few more inches, and is on the thin side. He doesn't work out or anything and sports are not in his favored activity list, so most of his exercise comes from gym class. Clothes are whatever for him and he just puts on clean things from his drawer that don't look terrible together.
FAMILY DYNAMICS
As a little more of a homebody than either of his siblings, Mason has a closer relationship to his parents than they do. He tends to confide all of his problems in his mom and enjoys telling her about his day. Likewise, he also enjoys spending time with his dad and since they share the same artistic skill, it is a bit of a special bond there and he tends to share his art much more readily with his father than anyone else. He knows that at his age a lot of kids think it's not cool to hang out with their parents, but he doesn't care, he'd still just as readily go out and do something with them now as he would have a few years ago.
Since he tends to be more quiet, even when he spends time with his siblings, Mason doesn't get to talk that much and to be honest, he's okay with that. He knows both of them are more interesting and will likely have better stories to tell than he would anyway. Given that they've all got different interests, they don't have much to bind them together, so he wouldn't consider himself close to either one of them but does have respect for who they are - sometimes to the point of wondering if he should strive to be more like them.
