BEST FRIEND OF
Christopher Quinn

Student at Gordon Parks' Academy for the Arts - Film

RELATIONSHIP WITH BEST FRIEND
Juan and Christopher first became acquainted during their Freshman year at the Academy, being in the same group. They didn't really become friends until their Sophomore year though, when they found that they had been made roommates. As a person, Juan is maybe a bit more of a loner than Christopher is, and he tends to be most comfortable when he's by himself in his room or working alone in the film studios, but he's gotten a bit more used to socializing since getting to know the other guy, although he still doesn't really join in with parties. He's a sensible kind of guy, and he never gets offended by Christopher's bluntness, although he will sometimes set him straight if he thinks his words are unnecessarily hurtful, or if he disagrees. He's more serious about his school work than Christopher is, but he never minds sharing his notes if his best friend needs them.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
His father immigrated to San Diego from Mexico as a skilled worker when he was two years old. It took five more years before he could have his family join him.
He only started learning English after arriving in the United States, which made school a struggle.
He discovered his passion for film at the age of ten. Once he found out that there was private schools throughout the country with special filmmaking program, he started dedicating himself to his studies even more.
He hasn't been back to Mexico since he moved to San Diego, and he doesn't really have any interest in going back.
He's currently working on getting an indie project financed.
