PERSONALITY
Undeniably self involved, Kelsey has little care for much that isn't directly relating to her or her friends. Right now she's the center of the universe and boy does she act like it. Her attitude frequently gets her into trouble as she has a tendency to talk back and roll her eyes way more than what is healthy. There's always something going on in her life and it's always the most important thing that could possibly be going on in the world. Drama is frequent amongst her friends and she's got a fiery temper that tends to make things worse instead of better because she reacts so strongly to everything. Worse, most everything is beneath her now or too childish to hold her interest. She's practically an adult after all, the last thing that she wants is for people to be treating her like some little girl. Her unimpressed look has been perfected since the age of 16 and she uses it frequently.
While not the most intelligent person out there, she's got the type of memory that can recall even the most obscure details at the drop of a hat. That means that a lot of her studying can be done quickly and doesn't have to be done very extensively. The only thing she does have to devote extra practice time to is her music and seeing as she enjoys playing the piano more than anything else. When she's not playing though, she'd much rather be doing anything with anyone as she hates being alone and is uncomfortable doing things by herself - or without anyone that she deems to be cool enough to be doing things with. Image is very important to her and going into her Senior year, she's still in the mindset that high school is the most important thing in the world and everything that happens there is likewise all incredibly important.
Given that she's got fairly high standards for who she is willing to date, it's not a wonder that Kelsey has had very little experience with dating. She's been on a few dates here and there and had one steady boyfriend last year - steady in the sense that they were on-again and off-again like five times before they finally called it quits. Surprisingly, her dating life is the one thing she probably talks less about because she never wants to give Isabella worry that she'll pull a move like her mom and decide to get married right out of high school after falling in love with someone.
LIKES AND DISLIKES
Kelsey's favorite color is neon green, but she's not a fan of gray. She loves spring, and could do without winter. She's a dog person, but hates bugs. She could eat chicken and rice any day of the week, and she craves double chocolate chunk cookies most often, but she rarely ever eats mushrooms, and dislikes pecan pie. She's not a tea drinker, she much prefers frappuccinos. She loves to hang out with friends and play piano, but dislikes studying. Her best subject in school is History, and his worst is Science.
APPEARANCE
As someone who is very aware of her looks, Kelsey knows that she's a good looking girl. She's tall, standing at 5'8" and though she's less curvy than her mother, she still does have modest curves. Though her nose is too big, she does have a natural gorgeous shade of red hair, soft blue eyes, and smooth skin. It's not possible to see her without make-up unless you're waking up in the same room with her because she never leaves the house without it. Her clothing style is definitely based on keeping up with the latest trends rather than being comfortable and she has a great deal of pride in making herself look as good as possible. She takes looking good seriously and takes insults to her clothing choices very personally.
FAMILY DYNAMICS
When she was younger, Kelsey was very close to her parents and especially her mother who she looked up to and wanted to be just like. This continued until she was approximately thirteen and decided that she no longer wanted to spend time doing childish family activities because she was too old and too cool to be seen enjoying herself with her parents. It was also about the same time that she started giving more attitude, being less helpful around the house and scowling while dragging her feet during practically every single family activity that she was forced to participate in. Clearly, she's much too old she be expected to spend time with her family and enjoy it.
In fact, Kelsey is too cool for almost all of her siblings and doesn't have a great relationship with any of them, excepting Isabella. She's glad that Lily is off at college and practically never home because the older girl is far too bossy for her liking and while she mostly ignores her sister, her need to control everything is super annoying. Matthew is alright, he doesn't bother her and she mostly ignores him too. With Noah they clash frequently because he's always got to be all high and mighty about her attitude and how much more helpful and better he is. Isabella though, she's her other half - albeit, her reserved and sometimes painfully dressed, half but her other half nonetheless. The only person she's willing to set her issues aside for and the person that brings her down to Earth, she'd do anything for her twin sister and isn't afraid to fight to make sure that people hear what the other girl is too shy to speak up about. It's strange not to be around her more and she's the reason that Kelsey even bothers coming home most weekends.
