PERSONALITY
Like most teenagers, Chace is still struggling to figure out who he is. The struggle has been made all the more difficult by people who compare him to his older siblings, something that has made him insecure and defensive. Another result of the comparisons has been an inability to describe himself as who he is and a tendency to rather describe himself as what he's not. It has also led him to pull away from people in his family, trying to stand as a individual that cannot be compared to anyone else but the results have been minimal and made him more frustrated than anything else. Nothing sets him off quite like a direct comparison between himself and family members and those who do so often find themselves on his shit list because rarely does he ever come ahead in such comparisons.
Despite his insecurities, Chace is actually a really kind and caring person. He's loyal to those he cares about and once he lets someone in, it's difficult for him to let them go. He's got a sort of self depreciating sense of humor that comes out only among those closest to him and can be tempered with sarcasm if the situation calls for it. He's also quite intelligent, with the kind of mind that soaks up information easily and retains it for long periods of time. When he puts in the work he can get near perfect grades, but at this point he doesn't see much point in doing so all the time because he's not going to end up getting to a position where it'll be needed anyway.
He's had some crushes here and there and has chatted with girls at gatherings, but he's never really felt comfortable with them and has always felt like they were comparing him to William - a comparison that leave him coming up short. If he really likes a girl, he can get nervous and even more insecure about himself. He hasn't had to deal with it too much though yet though, luckily and isn't actively looking for someone to make him feel that way.
LIKES AND DISLIKES
Chace's favorite color is forest green, and he's not a fan of pink. He loves spring, and could do without fall. He's a dog person, and he hates birds. He could eat hamburgers any day of the week, and he craves oatmeal scotchies most often, but he hardly ever touches green beans, and dislikes peanut butter cups. He's not a tea drinker, he much prefers soda. He loves to play soccer and video games, but he doesn't enjoy shopping. His best subject in school is Social Studies, and his worst is Religion.
APPEARANCE
Chace looks more like his father than his mother with his brown hair and blue eyes. He stands at 5'9" with the possibility of still growing another inch or two by the end of his teenage years. He doesn't have to worry about facial hair too much yet but does occasionally grow some and quickly shaves it off. He's not much to care about fashion, but does make a bit of an effort to make sure that what he's wearing doesn't look too terrible together. He doesn't go shopping often for clothes though and pretty much just wears whatever his mother buys him.
FAMILY DYNAMICS
It's sad to say, but true, that Chace doesn't have the best of relationships with anyone in his family. With his two oldest siblings it comes more from the fact that he's a bit jealous of how they all seem to have themselves so well figured out and the fact that he knows no matter how much work he puts in it won't measure up to Mackenzie's work ethic, nor will he ever be as artistically talented as William. With Leslie it comes from the fact that despite being a year older, he considers himself to be more mature than she is and hates being talked down to.
He gets on alright with his parents although he wouldn't consider himself particularly close to either. Valerie tends to be a bit too protective of him at times, which he detests, but otherwise doesn't really fight with her. With Will it has more to do with the fact that his attention is more taken by his daughters - Mackenzie for following in his footsteps and Leslie because he's always had a slight preference toward her - so despite the fact that as a child he really looked up to his father and wanted to be like him (he practiced many hours on the piano to try and gain the skill), they have a bit more rocky of a relationship now but do on occasion play sports together.
