PERSONALITY
Jeremy is more of a quiet boy, who doesn't enjoy being in the limelight at all and generally will stay in the shadows a whole lot more. He's a bit of a follower, mainly because he doesn't enjoy being in the lead anyway, and as such having someone to follow makes things that much easier for him in terms of not having to make as many decisions. Thankfully enough, the group of people he's taken to spending time with ever since he was in kindergarten aren't trouble makers at all, though some of them are a bit more on the opiniated and bossy side, but he doesn't really care that much. He's more comfortable with sitting back and listening to other people talk than stating his own point of view, because he doesn't want to say something that someone else might disagree with and lead to a debate, seeing as he'd be for sure on the losing side. He has zero skill at making a good point, and as such, he prefers to keep his opinions for himself.
He's not one to get easily offended or angry - he's actually a bit of a tame kid. His only problem with being born the day after Christmas is whenever people feel sorry for him because that must mean his birthday tends to be a bit less noticed, because that's actually the way he likes it best. Of course, his family will still celebrate it, but he's never had a birthday party with friends, and he's never asked to try and have one either, although his parents have suggested doing it a few weeks early or late. After all, a birthday party all for him would be the definition of being the center of attention, and the mere thought of it makes him shudder a little. He's a pretty serious kid, with his nose stuck in a book more often than not, and he actually loves school a lot. He enjoys studying, even when he doesn't specifically need it all that much, and if it weren't for the fact that he didn't want to be separated from his friends, he would have been made to skip a grade when he was in elementary school.
On the dating scene, Jeremy is pretty non existent. As it is, he's only just starting to come to term with his sexual orientation, and only a few people know at this point. He's managed to confide it into his parents and brother, but most of his friends are still in the dark - or well, he thinks they are anyway. Truth is, anyone that is close to him is aware and accepting of the fact that he's gay, but they're just waiting for him to be comfortable and confident enough about it to come forth to them with the information. In the meantime, they don't push any kind of romantic involvement on him, and he is pretty thankful for that.
LIKES AND DISLIKES
Jeremy's favorite color is lime, and he's not a fan of red. He loves spring, and could do without winter. He's a dog person, but he hates rabbits. He could eat sushi any day of the week, and he craves tiramisu most often, but he hardly ever eats pizza, and dislikes bananas. He's not a pop drinker, he much prefers strawberry lemonade. He loves to read and travel, but dislikes being the center of attention. His best subject in school is Math, and his worst is Spanish.
APPEARANCE
Although Jeremy isn't one to think much about his looks, he does sometimes wish he wouldn't look so much like a kid still, seeing as he's only two years away from graduating high school. He just has a very youthful appearance to him still, which is not helped by the fact that he only stands at 5'7" and has more of a lean body type than muscular. He is still a good looking guy, with a nicely defined jaw, a proportional nose, short, slightly messily arranged brown hair and deep brown eyes, but most people do think him to be a year or two younger than he actually is, and even if he's not one to complain a lot, he wishes he could maybe grow a couple more inches and look his age, or even older. He doesn't put too much focus on his wardrobe, though he always makes sure to wear clean clothes - seeing as he has a uniform at school, he doesn't really have to bother with figuring out what to wear too many days of the week, but when he does wear his own clothes, he goes the simple and casual route with t-shirts and khakis or jeans.
FAMILY DYNAMICS
Jeremy has a hard time bonding with people in general, and that does sometimes include his family. He does love them all, and he has all the trust in the world in them, and a lot of respect for both his parents. He's just not really the type to go and confide to them, because he usually prefers keeping his own thoughts to himself. From hearing stories his grandparents told him, he knows he's very different from the way his dad was when he was his age, and he sometimes worries that he's a bit of a disappointment to him, although Nolan always does his best to be present for his kids and spend time with them. He does feel a bit closer to his mother, but even then, he's just not one to talk much.
He is fairly close to his brother, having grown up as friends even though Steven is two years older than he is, and a bit more outgoing too. Still, he knows he can count on his older brother for help whenever he needs, and he actually feels a bit more comfortable going to him with his problems, seeing as he always worries he may be bothering his parents with kid stuff. He knows Steven can get pretty protective of him, too, so he does his best not to give him a reason to, and it's weird for him to think of going into school this fall without his brother there with him.
