PERSONALITY
Mackenzie has always been viewed as the responsible child of the Aldridge family. She's the one adults will praise more openly, the one teachers are likely to remember and compare her younger siblings to. She's got a very driven personality, and although she's not exceptionally smart, her hard work and ambitions make up for it. She's often been known to sacrifice her social life in favor of school work, if only to do her best to attain perfection, because to her failure has never been an option, and nobody sets the bar higher for her than herself. She's got a very serious, no nonsense type of outlook on life, and although she's not generally seen as the bossy type, she can definitely be one to take charge when the situation calls for it. From a young age she's always had a professional demeanor, looking up to her father and the way he runs his business a lot, with a firm grip on things, but still compassionate. She wants to be respected and seen as a strong, capable individual, but she doesn't aspire to being feared.
As much as she's always been a confident person in academic settings, that self assurance easily vanishes when she's made to mingle with her peers. She feels extremely awkward in communal settings that involve people her own age, and she's a very private person. She'd much rather be thrown into a group of grown ups to discuss economics and politics than just hang out with other teenagers, and she's much more comfortable with formal settings than casual ones. People see her as stuck up a lot as a result of it, which her family name doesn't really help with. She can also be a bit of a pushover in certain social situations, especially with the people she is closest to, and even though she is typically sensible when it comes to spending money on herself, she can be a bit less so when it comes to other people. Having grown up in a world where funds are never really a problem has given her a bit of a skewed perception on the whole of it. She's not a selfish person and she's not completely unaware of her privilege, but the life she has lead has made her a bit more prone to being blind to certain social issues around her.
Considering the unease she feels when interacting with her peers, it comes as no surprise that her dating life hasn't been extensive - or more like, inexistent. Part of it does come from the fact that she has been attracted to one specific person since she was in her early teens, and another part does have to do with the fact that the world she gravitates in still isn't entirely open to her sexual orientation. Being a woman with business aspiration has always been tricky enough, adding the term lesbian to the whole of it would only make it that much harder, and as such, although she's never been ashamed of her homosexuality, nor has she tried to hide it, she also doesn't strive to make it obvious.
LIKES AND DISLIKES
Mackenzie's favorite color is navy blue, and she's not a fan of orange. She loves summer time, and could do without spring. She's a dog person, and she hates birds. She could eat pasta any day of the week, and she craves chocolate most often, but she hardly ever touches fast food, and she shares her dad's dislike of cupcakes. She's not a soda drinker, she much prefers tea, hot or cold. She's an avid reader and she loves debating, but she doesn't enjoy being dragged to teen parties. Her best subject in school is Math, and her worst is Gym.
APPEARANCE
Mackenzie's looks mostly take after her mother's, with long silky brown hair, deep chocolatey brown eyes and an ever present tan to her skin. She has nice features, with a straight nose, high cheekbones, perfect teeth and soft lips. She stands at 5'5", and has a slim build. She's not especially athletic, sports that require coordination aren't exactly her strength, but she enjoys exercising that can be more of a solo activity. Her fashion sense is a bit older than her years, as she tends to dress in a bit more of a serious fashion, unless she's alone at home or spending time with her closer friends or cousins.
FAMILY DYNAMICS
Of all her family members, Mackenzie is closest to her parents. She has a good relationship with both of them, although in different ways - her mom is her confidante, she'd told her most everything that happens in her life ever since she was a child, and she keeps on doing so even now that she's older. She has, however, more affinities with her dad - shared interests and similar sense of humor - although he does have higher expectations of her and she spends a lot of energy trying to prove herself.
Her relationship with her siblings is, for the most part, a bit more strained. She gets along well with William, but they're not specifically close. She clashes a lot with Leslie, who is a lot more energetic and a bit of a trouble maker, and has ever since they were both little. As far as Chace goes, she likes her little brother well enough, but he doesn't seem to wanna get close to anyone, and she's never really tried to push past his boundaries.
