PREGNANCIES
When Stephanie first told Carson that she was pregnant, he went ahead and dropped out of the signing process of a movie that would have had him away during part of her pregnancy so that he could be more present to help her. He did still work throughout her pregnancy, obviously, but picked a project that would allow him to stay in California instead. At times he felt a bit useless as there wasn't much that Stephanie really asked of him, but he tried to be as thoughtful and helpful as possible. When she gave birth he was admittedly nervous, but kept a straight face throughout and just did all he could to reassure her.
Just as with the first pregnancy, Carson did his best to arrange his work schedule ahead of time to be around for the pregnancy. Although it didn't work out as much as he was actually away for a month when she found out that she was pregnant. Once more, he just did his best to try and be there and be helpful, letting her have her space without taking it personally when she was more withdrawn. Though he was ready for Claire to arrive when the due date came and went, glad when Stephanie actually went into labor naturally.
Not working during the duration of her third pregnancy, he was around a lot more to help with Claire and Jack. He did notice that his wife was much more easily annoyed with him, but never took it to heart and would usually brush off her apologies when she started to feel guilty. Due to her new food craving, he made sure to keep lots of corn around the house. It was a surprise when she went into labor early and he was worried when there were complications, but glad that they were followed with a quick recovery and that his wife and daughter were okay.
During the first part of Stephanie's final pregnancy, he worked on finishing a movie project which required a couple of weeks away from home, but wrapped before the end of the first trimester. Which ended up being good as it meant that he was home to help when she got put onto bed rest, which he took seriously and didn't allow her to get out of. When she went into labor prematurely he did panic some, but kept it hidden from Stephanie and tried to remain as outwardly calm as possible. Staying in the hospital with her as she recovered wasn't an option - considering they had three young children already - but he did visit each day with the kids.
