PERSONALITY
Rachel is a very energetic girl who really can't stand still for more than a few seconds at a time, unless she's working on an art project - nor can she keep herself from talking, even when she's not supposed to. That's what she always got in trouble for the most in elementary school, and even now that she's in high school, she can control herself a bit better, but often gets told off for talking in class. She's not excessively popular, but she does have a pretty large group of friends whom she finds herself at the center of in school - and back home, she generally gets most in trouble when she hangs out with her Aunts and Uncles kids, whom she refers to as her cousins. She's definitely a people person, and has absolutely no issue approaching strangers to introduce herself - making new friends is one of her favorite passtime.
She's a bit of a class clown, and has a hard time being serious. She likes joking around and has a lot of mischief to her. She's very much like her father in the sense that she has a hard time turning down a challenge or a dare - and although she's able to say if something if stupid if it's an idea that's presented upfront, being told she can't do something it a completely different story, and that's when she's most likely to take the bait. She's not the most responsible person around either, and she can be a bit on the sloppy side - although she claims she finds her things better when her room is a mess than when everything is put away neatly. She's very active, which she has to be sometimes solely to get rid of all the excess energy she has, otherwise she's just unable to focus on anything, or even go to sleep.
She's a bit of a flirt and she doesn't really get herself involved in very many serious relationships. To her, high school years are for having fun, and she doesn't see a point in getting tied down, instead creating connections to other people. She's known for a while now that she's attracted to both girls and guys, and she honestly doesn't have a preference between either gender. She's just as likely to get involved with a girl as she is to get involved with a guy.
LIKES AND DISLIKES
Rachel's favorite color is blue, and she's not a fan of yellow. She loves fal, and could do without winter. She's a dog person, but hates lizards. She could eat french fries any day of the week, and she craves cream puffs most often, but she hardly ever eats hot dogs, and dislikes cheesecake. She's not a pop drinker, she much prefers apple juice. She loves to paint and party, but dislikes being quiet. Her best subject in school is Gym, and her worst is English Lit.
APPEARANCE
Rachel's features are more those of her mother's than her father's. Although her hair isn't quite as curly as her mom's was, it is the same shade and has the same texture - though Rachel does sometimes lighten hers. Her facial structure is also very similar, with the same smile and only slightly bigger brown eyes. She has a petite frame, with only an average amount of curves for her size, and stands small at 5'2", though even at that height she still has a couple of inches on her mother. She doesn't spend a whole lot of thought on her fashion sense, usually dressing pretty casually and simply. Jeans are a must to her, and her closet hardly has any other types of bottoms. She usually pairs them up with a simple top or a t-shirt, mostly depending on what's clean.
FAMILY DYNAMICS
Rachel was always pretty close to her mother growing up, although now that she's a teenager she's pulled back a little as she figured she's grown up enough not to need her mom around as much. Going to the Academy was one way for her to get a bit more independance, and she's not exactly willing to sacrifice it by telling her mom all she's up to on a daily basis. She is a bit closer to her dad than she is to her mom, but considering his protective streak, she also doesn't exactly tell him everything. She enjoys spending time with him though, as they are a bit more similar in temperaments, and although she doesn't exactly brag about the fact that he's a known actor, she is pretty proud of it.
She is pretty close to her oldest sisters, although at times the roles between the two of them are reversed, as Rachel feels Veronica is the one that needs to be protected more with how kind and shy she is. She still sees her big sister as one of her best friends, and she misses her a lot when she goes to the Academy. One that she wishes she didn't have to deal with so often is, unfortunately, the one sibling who also decided to go to Gordon Parks', and that would be her brother. She and Carter are pretty much at open war, as they constantly argue with one another, and he takes a lot of pleasure in baiting her.
