Blake was feeling drained but satisfied as she left campus after completing her last class of the semester, knowing she was likely to have gotten an excellent grade on the exam that had just taken place, but finding it a bit hard to care at the same time. She had been spending an ungodly amount of hours over the past few weeks studying for various exams, writing and re-writing papers, and just generally thinking of little else but school. Now that it was all behind her and commencement was a mere few days away, she felt she deserved some time to not have to think about anything - certainly she needed to catch up on sleep, if only just to give her overworked head a break. At some point on the walk back to her dorm room, her brain had switched to autopilot, and she hadn't even realized that it was taking much longer than usual to reach her intended destination - after all, she lived rather close to campus, which really shouldn't have required taking the subway. What did require the use of New York's public transit, however, was the journey from school to Landon's condo, and that was where she soon ended up, feeling a bit dazed and unsure how she'd even managed that before giving in with a shrug, pressing the buzzer to ring his unit and hoping he would be the one to answer, not his parents.

The best thing about Landon's classes finishing so early was that he no longer had to deal with studying or exams lingering over him or the stupid 8 AM class that he had to take. The worst thing about all of his classes being over was that, somehow, both Blake and Joseph had managed to have schedules that dragged out their classes for longer than his. And it wasn't like he didn't have other people to hang out iwth if he wanted to. He had other friends. It was just that he would have preferred to hang out with Joseph, or Blake. And while Joseph was much more willing to hang out with exams looming over his head, Blake had pretty much buried herself in her books and told him not to bother her. He took that to mean that he was limited to texting her only once when she didn't respond to things and not to expect to see her until she arrived on the other side of her exams and papers. With the last exams and paper deadlines drawing closer even Joseph had been busy the past couple of days, so Landon was hanging out at home trying to relax when he heard the buzzer sound. He wasn't expecting company and his parents were out but he went over to answer anyway, "Knopp residence, if you're looking for someone else I'm afraid I will Knopp be much help."

Ever since Blake had decided that there were worse things than admitting to herself and anyone who would ask that she was, in fact, in a committed relationship with Landon, things had been going rather well. In essence, not much had changed. The main difference from the before and after was that Riley had met him and now required he join her on most of her visits home, and although Blake wasn't a huge fan of letting her baby sister get that attached to him, she couldn't deny that he was great with the younger girl. And since neither of her parents were the type to ask a lot of questions, it was usually a rather painless process. Of course, watching him and Riley interact sometimes caused peculiar emotions within her, but she'd elected to ignore that a while back - she had no time to try and figure out feelings. Which was why she generally didn't allow herself to stop and think about it. And there were times when it was easier than others, like when she heard his greeting after she'd buzzed up to his apartment - although she hated to admit his inclination to puns was a lot more endearing now than it had been in the beginning, which was why she never did. "Nevermind, I'm just gonna go," she spoke in a dry manner.

Landon couldn't help the grin that split across his face when he heard Blake's voice come through, not having expected her but definitely happy that she'd come over. He didn't take it seriously as she said that she was just going to go, knowing that it was her nature to respond in such a fashion. "Well that's sad, cause I'm opening the door," he replied, pressing the button to buzz her in. Instead of waiting for a response, he made his way over to the door proper and opened it up. It'd take her a couple of minutes to get to the apartment, but he wanted to see her when she came down the hall. He greeted her with a wide grin, leaning against the doorframe. "Thank you for deciding to stay," he teased, even though it was entirely genuine. As usual, she looked stunning but that seemed to just be her natural state of being because he'd never seen her look anything less than extremely attractive. "To what do I owe the pleasure? I thought you'd be catching up on the sleep I know you've been missing since finals started."

Of course, Blake has no intention on actually going anywhere now that she had arrived at Landon's place. She knew that, he knew that. There was no point in dwelling on it, which was why she didn't bother responding when he said he was opening the door, simply opening it as the buzzing sound made itself heard. She made her way over to the door to his condo, not surprised to see him casually waiting in the doorway, another easy tell that he'd called her bluff. "I figured I might as well do that here. Kill two birds in one stone with the catching up on both sleeping and active girlfriend duties," she told him. It was probably a good thing she wasn't the kind of person to feel guilt easily, and that he wasn't the kind of person to try and cause guilt, because otherwise she would have felt a lot worse about how long it'd been since she'd spent proper time with him. In any case, she wasn't about to let him know she actually hadn't intended to end up on his doorstep today. "Besides, I figured you might even feed me, and that would be great because I have zero intention of spending the energy on feeding myself right now," she added, completely honest on that front. If she had gone back to her place, she would have likely just collapsed on her bed and done nothing but nap and scroll through her phone for the rest of the day. "All in all, it seemed like the better deal."

Landon gave a short laugh as Blake confessed that she was likely going to nap while she was here, adding that it would also count as catching up on her girlfriend duties. Even though he didn't hold it against her that she'd been so busy lately, it was still nice that she'd decided to come and see him because he had missed hanging out with her. "Well I'm glad that I'm an advantageous solution," he teased as closed the distance between the two of them, wrapping his arms around her waist and then leaning forward to kiss her in greeting. Her lips were as soft as usual and he sighed happily into the kiss before he pulled away just enough that he could look at her. "We've got some leftover tofu chahan if you want me to warm it up." There were other things that he could make, but he preferred not to have to spend more time than necessary preparing anything and instead just enjoy the company of his girlfriend while she was here. Though he supposed that they could order in if it came down to it. He wasn't opposed to some takeout.

Blake hadn't really thought about eating until Landon mentioned the option of heating up some leftovers, and her stomach almost answered for her as it rumbled a bit, making her realize just how hollow it felt in that moment. She did feel a bit torn as something else she felt in need of was some sort of physical contact, as though she'd been starved of that as well and him pulling her close brought that realization to the surface as well. Really, it seemed she had been taking poor care of some of her needs during this exam period, and apparently the answer to several of those needs came in the form of Landon. "I guess I should eat something," she said almost reluctantly, knowing that statement would lead him to letting go of her, but ultimately, she likely wouldn't be able to focus on much else than the pangs of hunger now that they were at the forefront of her mind. She might as well address the most pressing need until she moved on to the next - and since physical closeness and sleep could easily be attained together, they would have to wait.
