Having only one child, who while she was a hand full at times didn't actually get into too much trouble, Felicia usually didn't have half as many entertaining stories as Valerie did. The Aldridge household always had something or another going on in it - which could be good or bad, but with four children there was never a lack of things happening - so she was just waiting for Val to give the latest story of the week. Already smiling as she heard her best friend snort before she'd even finished her question, already knowing that this was going to be good.Laughing a little as she told the story of how Will had let Leslie go shopping with her friends, which had lead to no clothes and an iPod instead, plus the new restriction of having to always go shopping with Valerie or Mackenzie until she turned twenty one. "And I'm sure that she's absolutely thrilled with that new rule," she commented sarcastically, shaking her head a little. "But it could have been worse. She could have blown the money on something non-refundable."

Val knew she should have expected, when she'd decided to have as many children as she'd had, that there would be plenty of crazy happenings in her life. And for all her kids could drive her crazy at times - though, some more than others, obviously - she wouldn't really want it to be any different. Or at least, for the most part she wouldn't. Maybe once Leslie got a bit more sense in her head she wouldn't complain about the slight difference, but ultimately, she loved her daughter for who she was, just the same as she loved her other three kids for who they were. Shaking her head a bit as she heard Felicia's comment and giving a sigh, thinking back on the drama that had cause. "Well, I doubt it'll actually stick through until she'd twenty one," she said in a slightly teasing tone. "Though it'll definitely be a long, long time until she has some of the privileges her siblings have. She's already so outraged because she can't have a cell phone," she said with a roll of her eyes. "But you're right on that. Then again, it would have been her loss even more," she added with a shrug. "I'd have taken it away nonetheless, and she wouldn't have had her allowance until the cost of it was made up for."

It didn't surprise Felicia in the slightest that Valerie's story was related to Leslie because most of her stories usually were. There were the minor exceptions to the rule, where the star of the story had been someone different, especially when the kids were younger, but as they got older it became apparent that Leslie was always going to be the 'problem child'. Not that she considered the girl to be, nor did she think Val did, but if there was something going on in the house, more often than not it tied back to the younger of the two daughters. "Poor Valerie, always have to be the bad cop," she shook her head. At least with Alyssa, she and Nate pretty equally had split the bearing of telling their daughter no. "I'm actually surprise that Will hasn't caved for the phone yet. He hardly ever says no to her consistently." Probably because the younger girl although not as close to her mother in looks, definitely had a lot of her spirit. "Though the only reason Alyssa even had one at her age was because she was going to the Academy."

Felicia was definitely right in saying that she pretty much always had to be the bad cop, mainly when it came to Leslie. Will was pretty much just wrapped around his youngest daughter's little finger, and he had the hardest time ever saying no to her. "Well, I made it pretty clear to him what the consequences would be if he told her yes after I categorically said no," she spoke wryly, shaking her head a bit. "I guess I was convincing enough. Then again, he doesn't think she needs a cell phone either. He knows how she can get, and neither of us think it extremely safe to put something in her hands that can run up a bill," she added. "If she was a bit more responsible with her allowance, she may actually be able to put enough aside to get herself a phone and pay the bill each month, but that would mean not spending practically all of it at once," she said with a light sigh as she glanced at her watch. "Anyway, I should probably go now, see if Kenzie needs help unpacking or... with anything else. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little less crazy," she told the other girl, definitely hoping for that to be true.

As Val continued on to say that she'd warned Will what would happen if he'd gone against the no for the cell phone Felicia couldn't help but laugh a little. It was a bit crazy, after all, that she had to threaten her husband about spoiling their daughter. Giving a light snort at the thought of the young girl being able to do anything where she'd have a bill she wouldn't have to pay and then sighing at her suggestion of going to see if Mackenzie needed help with unpacking or anything else. Not liking the idea that the young girl was hurting so much because of her own daughter. "Yeah, let's hope," she replied when Valerie went ahead and added that the next day might be less crazy. "But that's fine. I'm sure Nate wants an explanation anyway. I'll talk to you later. Have a good night." Waiting for her friend to give her own goodbyes before she hung up her phone. Looking up at the ceiling for a moment and shaking her head at the whole situation and how completely insane it happened to be. Then peeling herself off the couch to find her husband, he needed to know about this.
